You Do the Shoot is a company owned by Ben Annersley that hires out video equipment for weddings and parties. They then edit the footage that has been captured to make an personally interesting video. This site was built using Joomla and two customised video players using the YouTube API. The two YouTube players were each linked to a playlist within YouTube. One was a Playlist for funny wedding videos, and the other was a playlist for wedding dances.

Ben uses YouTube often for inspiration and ideas when editing wedding videos. He often comes across some great wedding videos and dances that he would like to share with his audience – a large portion of whom are brides and grooms to be also looking for ideas and inspiration. Ben can add the videos into one of two playlists;

• Funny Wedding Clips
• Wedding Dances

These videos will then appear within the You Do The Shoot website within the correct section. When he adds a video to one of his playlists that feed onto his site, an automatic tweet is sent with a pre-determined message and a link to the video on his website. So by simple adding a YouTube video to his playlist, Ben is populating his site with content and promoting the new new videos over Twitter.

The customising did not stop there…..

The You Do The Shoot portfolio videos were showcased using a bespoke video player that made use of an existing Joomla component.
